I hate jerkhoffs like that ~ if you don't know what to do , _STOP_ and go find

Damaging Customers cars is never acceptable .
At least you're enjoying the car .

You're a wise Man Jonas ;
I got caught in a couple riots before I learned to simply avoid large crowds
at all times .
Once my young bride and 6 year old Son was there with me ~ I thought they'd
both be trampled to death .
I had not wanted to go in the first place but she
Charlie ;
Be aware that the venerable Rochester 'B' Series carby weeped at the bowl to
air horn joint when it was new 50 years ago and always it has been and will be
so if the float is properly set .
Many Mechanics back in the day simply lowered the float level a little bit and
so
So then why didja have them touch it ? .
Routine Tune Up Service is dwell , valve adjust and check / gap the spark
plugs .
I bet they're all gapped to narrow too (should be .035)
If not for the goofed up accel. pump linkage , I'da said they found the float
too low and raised it
Don ;
You did a *very* good thing as some one out there may well be looking for an
uncracked cylinder head , crankshaft core etc. and this is just what that guy
has ~ scads of disassembled engines all in rows .
My guy here is an old fellow like me and he doesn't know how to nor want
I always prefer the metal speedo cables , the plastic ones are not just coated
, they're plastic .
Last time I checked , AD still made the correct metal speedo cable .
There's an additional , separate horizontal weather seal between the floor
and door , the strip is often gone missing .
Drive it normally .

To remove the steering wheel you'll need a wheel puller , they're cheap and use
two long bolts ~ remove the nut and split washer , oil up the rusty threaded
holes in the steering wheel's hub and run a tap in them to clean up the threads
.
Install the puller with two matching length bolts

if I didn't have to .
YMMV Etc.

Yes ;
If yu only have one connection you'll need to use a relay , they're cheap and
will make sure the upper mast jacket bushing/contact lasts forever .

I cant hear it well enough to discern what it is but if you remove one spark plug wire at a time , when the bad cylinder is disconnected , the banging should stop .-Nate Ken Wrote :Hi All

At hot idle , oil should be weeping out of the rocker holes , not spraying , weeping very slowly .On older 216 work out 235/261s ,its common to not see any oil until the engne revs above 1,200 RPM ~ test this with the engine running valve cover in place ,_slightly_ rev. the engne
Drain refill the oil with thn oil like 10W anything .Then remove the spark plugs and do a valve adjust because the valves willsurely be tight from running it hot before .Then set the points gap /dwell (33 degrees) and finally , set the ign. timing to ball on pointer , go crank it
You have to leaver down the stud part before itll stop turning .New or used , both suffer this problem .-Nate ---In old-chevy-truck@yahoogroups.com, old-chevy-truck@yahoogroups.com wrote:What should I do about a loose tie rod that I can not tighten because the threaded portion
