This can be a great conversion or a total disater leading to your beloved truck being junked or wrecked so before you change anything , go to the Chevy Duty forums and ask in the Task Force ('55 ~ '59) section as many there are hot rodders who've done this for better and worse , they'll give you a hand in selecting the correct column and how to make it go in painlessley . DON'T throw out the old column and steering wheel ! someone will be needing it . -Nate No Name wrote: > > Hi All > > I have a 1959 Chevy 3100 I want to replace the steering wheel column > with a tilt wheel. > I have heard that 73-77 GM mid-size cars work best? > > Has anyone out there done this and how did it turn out? > > Are there other ones that will work? > > I will be replacing the front suspension with the Fat Man > Fabrications Kit much like the mustang II kits, only built for the > truck. > > Thank you Ole Chevy and GMC trucks rule!
