Remove and clean all cable ends, use star washers there at bolt against frame to get a "Bite" of metal when tight. Also use bigger cables than you can find in most stores, may have to have them made up. Pre=mades are too light for 6 volt. A braided cable from bellhouse to frame like orig is goo

My cousin's truck did this. The way he cured it was he put a ground strap from the bell housing to the frame. His didn't have it. Yours might, but the connections corrode. I'm no guru by any stretch of the imagination, but checking that connection will at least help you to find out what ain
