while hardly any of my trucks are stock, i still like them.
52 gmc=70's 250 with 60's open 4spd, front disc, chevelle 3.31 rear.
51 panel-well you would shoot me...
55 camper=80's 350 with stock 4spd. but... its the first year of v8
and the 80hp235 didnt cut it for 7,000# and i was good-i scrounged and
got the stock motor mount brackets, stock acc linkage, got a stock v8
bellhousing,... next is dual master and 19.5" radials instead of
widowmaker 18" split-rim bias...

needless to say-i love my trucks and the biggest part of that is
loving to drive them-everywhere. i do NOT own anything newer than my
55 camper except a 69 chevy van my grammie bought new(327-4spd on
colum-STOCK) and i have it cause of the memories and she gave it to me
right before she died. SIDEBAR-the battery is behind pass seat in
floor with 47-55 floorcover over it. bone-stock. 

so that said-i do my darndest to make these RESTIFICATIONS. changin
factors related to function rather than form. 
in fact, my horrendous =) panel has a stock column going to the camaro
clip, and teh only way you can tell without lifting hood that its not
stock-the starter and clutch pedals are gone. stock 3psd shifter runs
the 4spd auto.

anyway... nuf said. =)

we know we all LOVE our trucks-thats why we bleed on them and are
poor! =) hA!

but i think the term i like best is RESTIFICATION kinda means you
upgraded it when you restored it so it would be fun and safe to drive,
and maybe more reliable(216/235)
