I was looking at different web sites and noticed dick miller has 3 big
block build ups.
1 is a +.030 455 rated at 670 hp and 627 ftlbs.
2 496 build up using a 4.185 bore and 4.500 stroke that gives 666 hp and
650 ft lbs of tq.
3 511 cubes 4.250 bore and 4.500 stroke th

stock ) in my Cutlass, with the original Fan and fan clutch. The temp

as 4 core (433369) brass.$178.00 The 4 core brass for
the 68 442 (#433346) is dimensionally the same but
list at $235.00. I did not find a listing for a P30
radiator in aluminum. I or
Magna fluxed was the term they used. I always think of Superman checking
the block for me (X-ray eyes)

X-rayed?? Do you mean sonic checked ot magma-fluxed. X-ray on a cast iron block would be difficult. Even if you did 3d recon or ran it in a CT penitration would be poor and resolving small cracks would be almost impossiable.

I assume the pistons are TRW/Sealed Power type which are
commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and are set to a predetermined deck height
for the cylinder bore (factory type quench distance).
In this order:
1) Align bore
It's the extra bracing that HT's do not require that concerns me.
Is the extra bracing in the tunnel area? Do you see any extra bracing there?
If not, then there may not be any problem.
