Fred! If it is rings, try Shell Aeroshell oil. I have seen it help reseat rings that were in pretty bad shape. You will probably need to continue using it for the life of the engine. I'd talked about using Aeroshell on the List in the past, but I didn't remember you already knew about it!

Wasn't me Chris But I do I have a perfect complete 69 floor pan NO rust, cut above the wheel housings and above the bottom door hinge mounts, one big part. At $750 a very easy install compared to welding in all the pans and braces and still probably fixing additional rust the pans don't cover. And
