So that's a picture of OAI on a '50s car. We also have OAI on W-30s and W-32s and whatever else, 1968-1972. Highly sought after, often imitated, forged etc. Extra horsepower and all that.
But my original '84 Delta 88 (and millions of other Delta 88s) also had a vinyl tube running from the air cleaner to a spot on the fender, allowing "Outside Air" to be "Inducted" into the carb. However, I seriously doubt that it was done on the Delta for performance, but instead for emissions. Same thing on my '77 Pace Car, but it's certainly not advertised as Ram Air.
