for test purposes I setup a kernel smb vm a few months ago.
I can acquire a tgt via "kinit" on a mac and browse successfully via "Go ->
Connect to server -> smb:///share"
The only downside against a samba4: I cannot block (or "veto" in samba syntax)

I fixed this problem after executing this:
idmap add winname:"*@" unixuser:"*"
idmap add wingroup:"*@ " unixgroup:"*"
svcadm restart idmap
All new created files has now the uid and gid from the IDMU

Do you used a real DVD or an ISO?
For the future you could use the iso mount feature of HP ILOs so you save time
to burn the iso and save blank cd/dvd.
I see no reason to use a remote console just to insert a physical disk when
needed ;-)

start the installer menu.
Today it worked once without "requesting maintenance state", after that

But the install environment is still english (when i go to the shell [Point

When i invoke a "loadkeys" after I enter the shell, the correct layout is
