After some false starts the zLinux partition at Marist University is
finally ready. I built the ooRexx 4.0.1 rpm this morning and uploaded it
to SourceForge. It seems to work just fine.
I will spend tonight getting this server merged into the build
environment for the nightly builds.

That's good news David.
It turns out that Novell dropped support for some Z serise hardware
types with the introduction of SLES 11. Our partition was on one of
those models. So Marist cloned a new SLES 10 partition on that hardware
and now the build works correctly.
