Okay. I'll make the announcement tonight if I have time. Otherwise
on Saturday.

Thanks Rick, I was checking that the picture I had of handling the fix
branches matched what you h
I agree with everything you have there. That's exactly how I
envisioned the fix branches being handled when I proposed creating
those.

Hi All,
I've done all I'm going to do with the bug list. I think we should
start the beta for the next release this weekend, unless someone
objects.
I've been assuming the release will be 4.1.1, seems to make the most
sense to me.
As far as the logistics of using the bug fix branch goes, I beli
Absolutely. Ther are several *nix fixes that will need to be
incorporated. The biggest one being the 64-bit file routines. This was

suspect there are a couple that might need my attentions. I've been
trying to mark the bug fixes with the Next Version tag so we can find
the tracker issues. I
Most definitely. I was thinking this just last night.
I'm in the middle of moving to a new house, so my presence on the
Internet may be a little hit and miss until I get my computers moved
and set up. But, I really think we should do a bug fix release.

We discussed this some months ago, and decided to hold off until after
the holidays. The Super Bowl is over, thus ending the holiday season
in the US :-) Is it time to start thinking about this again?
