Here in Grand Rapids, we wrote something, which we affectionately call
"Holds go Home". After a designated interval (e.g. 6 weeks), if an item
has not been checked in at it's shelving library, it checks back to see
if there are any holds waiting at that location. If so, it sends the
item "hom
This is cool. Thanks to Thompson-Nicola! I'm wondering if anyone has ever
considered a related situation that comes up with holds and that is the
ability to promote someone to the top of the queue because of their pick-up
location.
For example, let's say a patron has been waiting for PopularDVD
Hi everyone,
There was some discussion about problems with holds fulfillment at the
holds roundtable at EG2010. I am pleased to share this patch with the
community which has been thoroughly tested by the folks at
Thompson-Nicola Regional District Library. (thanks guys!)

Can you confirm that:
1) /usr/local/lib/ contains libdbi.so
2) the libdbi packages from Ubuntu are not installed ("sudo aptitude

I had eg.conf with the proper info. Ran prereq again. Had same problem,

Hmm. libdbi is normally installed by the prequisites installer from
source, which would place it in /usr/local/lib/ - which is why you're
supposed to add the /etc/ld.so.conf.d/eg.conf file and run 'ld
George,
I believe that this is done through the triggered events code. We are using
it on our system in Indiana to do the long overdue to lost and billing
notices along with a few other things. It is there and it is not so very
painful. Email me directly if you want to talk about it.

Hi Benjamin - at Mohawk we have the same copy location names from campus to
campus. It is possible to run or sort reports by campus or in your case,
library, so we can create separate lists/reports in spite of the similar
copy location names. Both library name and copy location show in the OPAC

I'm curious as to what other libraries using Evergreen are currently using with
regards to copy locations. In our system, we're using unique copy locations
for each library (even if the name of the copy locations are the exact same
thing between different libraries). For example, we might have
Since I have not heard from anybody about the Evergreen feature that will
auto-mark items as lost after specific overdue period, I am assuming that it
has never been deployed or it has been deployed but the emotional scars were
so deep that those involved would rather not talk about it.

Can anyone please tell me if there is a way to put all the results of a
search into a bucket? Eg. You do a search and you have 50 items that you
would like to put all at once into a bucket. We've been doing them one by
one and it would seem to me that there has to be an easier way to do this.
