Well... in regards to suggested revisions by DIG the important factor to
remember is that there is probably only a handful of Evergreen acquisitions
experts in the entire world or those with enough experience to revise what has
been created. I am not sure who if anyone currently actively involve

Robert,
I'm happy to give DIG the set of procedures I have from KCLS, and I guess
you can snag the PINES/ESI *.docs from the wiki. Would it reasonable to
have the DIG get back to everyone on this list with suggested revisions as

I can put items on hold and the hold correctly shows on the patron's

However, if I go to check the item out to another patron, I don't get
any indication that the item is on hold for another patron.

Hi all,
Sorry again about overlooking the workflows document when posting. I have
added MS Word 97-2003 versions of each document to the Dokuwiki start page:

Please let me know if there are more questions or concerns.

Hi All,
As some of you may know from various IRC discussions, etc., Equinox (ESI) is
partnering with the King County Library System to build a server-side (i.e.
non-Javascript driven) Template Toolkit OPAC. The purpose of this project
is to re-architect the OPAC with a set of web development tool

I like Robert's ideas: DocBook and DIG for feedback. Should have thought of

Never mind ... I think I got it. I didn't have checks in the location
boxes at the top of the user's permission list. I added the checks and
now we can register workstations.

I think having the discussion on the Documentation list is important as well.
The hope is that the Acquisitions. documentation would be included as part of
the official documentation for 2.0:

I think it would be best to get the documentation into Do
The workflow procedure stuff I have from KCLS is also in Word. So I'd need
to convert those to wiki format too.
That's step 1.
Step 2. Where are we putting these things?
Jennifer of DIG, do you have a recommendation?

Hi,
The docs were turned over to GPLS in MS Word format and if GPLS has no
objection I can make them available that way. Is anyone willing to
convert that to wiki format?

I'll second wiki-formatting, if feasible, as it would make commenting easier.
Also Chris Sharp sent the info about this documentation out on the DIG list,
but that does seem like an appropriate place to have this discussion.
As a side note: for whatever reason, I've been unable to access the PDF
It's been a long hard battle but if we can get past a few remaining

Mary, I'm happy to share them (on KCLS' behalf). Question: Would it be
useful for me to post these on the wiki with the "official draft" of Acq
documentation? I'm wondering if it would be useful to have a place to post
info about procedures or potential workflows with the official
documentation.
Hi Lori,
When KCLS went live, Sally Fortin at ESI wrote some KCLS specific
workflows documents for Acquisitions ordering/receiving/invoicing,
that's probably what you have. Part of the documentation that ESI
delivered to GPLS this week included a more comprehensive document on
