I can personally confirm that digests arrive daily, at least. On Monday this
week I received THREE (v. 117 is.8-10) in the span of 12 hours. And combined,
the three digests only contained 4 messages.
I don’t trust them and I don’t read them…. Obviously it’s one of those

Um, yeah. A hundred times, yes. Don't disable triggers that you don't
hard code in re-enabling afterwards. And then make sure you have. Twice.
If you're paranoid like I am, then three times.

Yes, absolutely, and please note that you do need to reenable those
triggers when the recalculation is done. :)

Hi Jesse,
Yes, the recalculation at the end of that upgrade script is necessary.
In 3.0, we made some changes to the way catalog searches determine
record visibility, and this part of the script recalculates visibility
to fix a few search issues that were discovered in the 3.0 release.

Hi Jesse,
Am I correct in understanding that you're saying that particular update
took over a week? That seems a bit extraordinary but I have seen where
some updates like this are better off broken up into chunks or run serially
for best results. The best path will vary based on system level, we
Hello Everyone,
During my last test cycle we ran into an issue upgrading from 2.10 to a newer
version with an update script that was setting the 901$sfor bib records. This
took an extended amount of time to complete. Well now, in testing our upgrade
to the 3.0 series part of the 3.0.2-3.0.3 ver

I was wondering why when Digest mode was off I wouldn't see any. I would
love a daily report but monthly seems like missing out on a lot of relevant

Hi, again.
On a related note: I use mail filters to organize my incoming email into
various folders before I read it. Most email clients have this feature,
and if yours doesn't, drop it and get one that does.
This way, I can see what email requires my immediate attention and what

Currently the digest frequency is set to Monthly.
I think that setting determines when a new volume is started, not when a
new digest is sent out to subscribers. I don't use digest mode, but I'm
pretty sure the people I know who are using it are getting e-mails more
often than monthly.

Same. I had assumed that it was being sent out daily (my experience on
other listservs which is a bad assumption to make) but have no preference
since I won't use it.

Currently the digest frequency is set to Monthly. Other options are
Yearly, Quarterly, Weekly, or Daily. We can change it to whatever suits
people best. I don't use the digest feature, so no dog in the hunt.

Rogan, et al.
I believe Chris's complaint is that the digests have become more frequent.
They have become more frequent because there has been an uptick in
traffic to the list overall.
The number of digests sent per day can be reduced if the digest size
threshold setting is adjusted upward. (NOT
