We were never able to resolve the issue with the scanners. Instead, we ended up
using carts with laptops and scanners on them. It was a pretty painless process
using that method. I'm happy to share more information with you, if you would

You're absolutely right. It is a real pain. To get around this, our media point
people sign out the reserved items in advance to the instructor. So if it's a
late pickup, it doesn't affect the booking.

If at all possible, I'd love to hear about other college migration experiences,
too...how folks are dealing with serials, reserves, etc. Mohawk and UPEI have
been very good about sharing info...I just figure I should start bugging some
other folks now!
