Hi All,
Hope your all having a good week so far.
I have two quick questions I need help with in regards to the Evergreen
Cataloguing Module.
Q1. Is there a way I can directly insert diacritics into fields in catalogue
records without having to copy and paste the diacritic from Microsoft
Hi Jason,
Thank you for your reply to my question and your help.
In regards, to the TCN when you say Evergreen will export it to tag 901 or

cataloguing will Evergreen naturally use this as the TCN or will it still

Hi All,
Hope your all having a great week so far. I have just a quick little support
question.
Is there any way possible to display the field 001 (Control No.), and is
there a way I can modify it if I don't want it to be automatically generated
for a particular Bib. record or does Evergreen
Hi Dan,
In regards to the following:

Hi All,
Just a brief and quick question.
What network ports are used by Evergreen? (So I know which ports to
unblock.)
And also, how can I get my normal Windows machine to talk to the virtual
Evergreen server (VirtualBox image)?
Kindest Regards,
Joel
Hi Jason,
Would this be able to put on the list of things for development sometime? I
think this could help many libraries.
Cheers,

Hi All,
I know the Koha ILS server can be installed natively on the Windows XP
platform.
Does anyone know whether this can be done with Evergreen (either Windows
Server or Windows XP), as our library's network is all Windows machines.
Kind Regards,
Joel

Hi,
Just a quick question (I'm having a memory blank). How do you restart
Evergreen's server software.
Many thanks.
Joel
Hi Nicole,
In our library we use VuFind for the OPAC. For an email client we use the
free version of Eudora (with some using Mozilla Thunderbird), and for our
Internet browser we use Mozilla Firefox 3.
I hope this answers your question.

Hi All,
I'm wondering if any one knows whether it is possible to natively install
Evergreen's server on a Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" without any
emulation.
We currently have a PowerMac G4 which has the recommended amount of RAM for
Evergreen's server, but it is not capable of running
Hi Dan,
This is great news. I was wondering with these changes to the OPAC if the
Author field will now display the entire contents of the '100' tag (eg. in
the MARC record you have "100 1_ $aAndrews, Mark, $d1946-"" will it now
shown in the OPAC as: "Andrews, Mark, 1946-" and not just "Andrews, Ma
Hi Jason,
Thanks for that, it worked perfectly.

Hi All,
I am using the Evergreen Staff Client for Evergreen 1.2.4.0, on Mac OS
X 10.4, and whenever I try to insert a subfield, using the Ctrl + D
shortcut key, but whenever using this shortcut key Staff Client will
save the record instead of inserting a new subfield.
Is there a special shortcut

Hi All,
I personally think point three of Karen's email is a good idea, as Evergreen
does use a fair bit of Mozilla's XULrunner as its backbone. But I would also
like to add, we could as a community put on Evergreen's OPAC a logo which
combine both, the Evergreen logo and the Mozilla logo, which w
