Dimitri,

Did you assign Working Locations to your new user? This is done through the
patron record (Other > User Permission Editor). There is a checkbox for each
of your libraries locations that should be selected to allow users to log in to
workstations registered to the selected libraries.

I hope this fixes the issue for you!

Jenny

Dimitri,

Unfortunately, I cannot help you with that question - we have not begun testing
for 1.6 and I don't handle the permissions set-up anyway. Chris Sharp does that
here; but, he is at a library staff training day today. Hopefully, someone else
on the list will be able to help.

Elaine, thank you for your reply!

I have one more question, could you help with this?

We are currently testing version 1.6. In this version everything works fine,
but for some reason, when I create a new Cataloger, user with this permission
can't enter to the system. Error appears: Permission Denied: VIEW_ORG_SETTINGS,
although this permission, I ordered Cataloger.

How do I fix it?

Dimitri,

This may be a sync or display issue. The changes you made to the record have
really been saved; but, there is a lag time in display. We had this happen very
often in 1.4.0.2. If you wait (sometimes a few minutes, in extreme cases a few
hours), the display will catch up. At it's worse, it could even take 24 hours
for the servers to sync together and display the changed record. Try
resetting the display a few times. If that doesn't work, wait longer and reset
again. You can also try logging off. Sometimes, none of that will work. Putting
the record aside and checking hours later usually gave the system enough time
to get back in sync.

The problem has pretty much been solved for us with 1.4.0.7. It happens
occasionally, but it usually means one of our bricks is experiencing problems.

Hi Everyone!

I have a Problem.

On our server, Evergreen, version 1.4.0.2 strange things happen: I enter the
Mark-record, saves it, but then if I need to edit this entry, it is impossible
to do.All changes are lost and Mark record remains unchanged. We have to erase
the old record and enter a new one.
Who encountered this problem? Prompt problem resolution, please.

Yours,

Dimitri Gogelia
