The Developer will be responsible for analyzing, programming, documenting, debugging, and testing applications in the development environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Dedicates the majority of time to the development of new products / support of applications already in production. · Mentors Analysts on technical and functional aspects of the applications. · Attends staff and departmental meetings. · Provides status updates to Supervisor and Manager. · Adherence to pre-defined programming standards set by Application Architects. · Develops recommendations regarding further definition of development standards and application architecture principles. · Creates documentation using established PMO standards. · Performs unit testing and assists in user testing of programming modifications. · Maintains technical knowledge through training or other measures. · Address system problems during off hours with the guidance from other members of the development staff as needed. · Translates high-level requirements into detailed technical designs. · Provides technical estimates. · Leads and facilitates design sessions and code walk-throughs. · Develops and maintains effective partnerships with Scottrade product development and business teams in order to understand and anticipate their needs, the business environment, other challenges and opportunities. · Disseminates information on any problems or potential delays. · Coordination with multiple internal and external groups. · Perform other duties as assigned. This position will assist with the migration of database structures from development and QA environments into the production environment and monitor database backups, jobs and key performance metrics. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Develop and maintain standards, procedures, and methodologies to ensure effective operation, access, control backup and recovery of all database systems.
