Job Title: Oracle Developer Location: Pittsburgh, PA. Duration: 9+ Months Domain: Financial Skills REQUIRED: * *5-7 years experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL in a 9i, 10g or 11g environment (10g or 11g preferred * *5-7 years developing ksh in a Linux or Unix environment (Linux preferred) * *Knowledge of query tuning and the use of explain plans * *5-7 years experience with Pro*C (a plus for this project) * *Experience with either TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer IDE * *Cooperative attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills. * *Excellent analytical and technical skills * *Strong written and verbal communication skills * *Excellent planning and organizational skills * *Minimum 40 hours per week * *3 - 5 years working in the Investment Management Industry * *Ability to create Detail Designs Assignment: Client has several business applications (i.e. FedPortS, Charles River, MARs), each requiring a unique Oracle Database to provide structure and management of their business information. The Oracle Databases are installed and configured in a common area sharing infrastructure resources (servers, operating systems, storage, software and support personnel). The combination of Oracle, business information structures and the shared infrastructure resources is commonly referred to as the Oracle Platform. The goal of this project is to develop a prototype environment for the SIRS Oracle Platform that functions properly with Oracle 11g and Linux operating system.
