*Java Web DeveloperLocation: Sunnyvale, CA* *Duration: 12+* *Interview mode: Phone then F2F* *Key:* Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. *May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 3 - 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. * Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. *Responsibilities:* •Design and develop applications delivered over an Internet protocol with services running on the JVM. •Maintain existing applications by fixing escaped defects and enhancing the continuous delivery process. •Deliver maintainable and scalable code that runs in a multithreaded environment. •Participate with other engineers in design sessions and code reviews. •Provide thorough automated test coverage for unit, functional and end-to-end coverage. •Thrive in a dynamic agile development process. *Qualifications:* •Solid understanding of object-oriented concepts and language. •Solid understanding of computer architecture and computer science fundamentals. •Independent, organized, and able to work on multiple fast-paced projects at the same time •Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively *Experience:* *•5+ years of Internet product development experience* •Extensive experience with a JVM based language, such as *Java, Scala or Groovy.* •Experience in a Linux development environment. •Experience using revision control systems, *such as GIT.* *•Experience building and consuming web-based services, particularly RESTful APIs.* *•Experience with Internet protocols, specifically HTTP, TCP/IP.* *•Familiarity with frontend development using HTML, JavaScript and CSS.* •BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Science or related field required.
