*The Oracle DBA will be responsible for installing, configuring and
upgrading Oracle software and related-products. *

*This person will be a stand-alone resource supporting multiple platforms
with performance tuning, monitoring, backup/recovery, *

and data management through the various stages of the SDLC



*Required Skills/Responsibilities:*

*•Experience in code migration, database change management and data
management through the various stages of the development life cycle *

*•Sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors
and systems administrators *

*•Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously *

*•Preferably a BS in computer science or related engineering field *

*•Strong experience with Oracle 11g *

•Experienced in running/reading AWR reports and using Oracle tools for
managing, supporting, tuning and troubleshooting problems.

•Provide cloned databases for development use

•Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
using Data Guard

•Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Oracle backups

•Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and
roles, assign privileges)

•Perform database tuning and performance monitoring

•*Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support *

*•Patch Management and Version Control *

•Write Database/Unix scripts for automation of regular tasks and implement
in cron as necessary

•Work with third party vendors to create and configure databases for new
applications based on vendor documentation

•Ability to work on multiple platforms, Windows, Linux and Solaris

•A good understanding of the underlying operating systems, both Windows and
Unix/Linux.

•Basic scripting ability in the Linux / Windows environment

•A good knowledge of the physical database design; ability to allocate
system storage and plan future storage requirements for the database system
including working with remote storage solutions such as netapp

•Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and
monitoring

•Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios

•Good knowledge of Oracle security management

•Good knowledge of how Oracle acquires and manages resources

•Good knowledge Oracle data integrity

•Oracle Data Guard experience.
