Position: Oracle Database/Report Developer Location: Albany, NY Duration: 21 Months Rate: $50/hr Please note that this is a 35 hour work week. Mandatory Requirements: 1. Minimum of 2 years experience with writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions; environments include but are not limited to mainframe, mid range, personal computers, laptops. 2. Experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle 10g RDBMS. Desirable Experience: 1. Demonstrated success in performing development work with Oracle Reports. 2. Demonstrated experience and ability to create data dictionaries based on Oracle system tables. 4. Demonstrated experience in testing large scale systems under development. 5. Demonstrated experience and ability to prepare clear, concise technical system documentation. 6. Demonstrated familiarity with the logical design and table structure of NYS CONNECTIONS system database. 7. Proven experience and ability to manage and deliver training/implementation support including preparation of user guides – working with users to implement large scale automation initiatives within a child welfare organization of comparable size and complexity of ACS. 8. Demonstrated familiarity with PVCS version manager software. Job Description: This programmer is to perform database development work for the Family Team Conference application with Oracle 10g RDBMS, Oracle SQL, and Oracle Report 10g. The primary responsibility is to perform SQL programming, and utilize Oracle Report to generate outputs. Detailed responsibilities: 1. Work with Programmer Analyst III (Sr. Oracle Developer) to develop SQL codes to implement the specifications provided by the business analysts. 2. Develop reports by utilizing Oracle Reports 3. Estimates the timeframe to implement the specifications 4. Provides programming as well as technical documentation 5. Conducts unit testing and integration testing 6.
