Possiblity of working remotely. Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree plus 7-10 years experience. Description: Acts in a high-level technical role as a designer for major computer applications utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors. Designs platforms, writes code, and develops tests. Leads multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis. Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process. May act as project/team lead. Job Description: Currently multiple key initiatives involving Pega Rules Process Commander (PRPC) and supporting modules - Smart Adjust, Smart Investigate and Research Manager. This role: Works on problems involving the evaluation of specification for complex business requirements and processes (new, enhancements, maintenance). Performs and leads modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts. Provides full project life cycle software development services for business critical systems application integration, including the preparation of detailed technical documentation. Develops and prepares computer solutions using PRPC methods and best practices; Designs and implements interfaces between commercial off the shelf products, corporate specific extensions (Apache/Tomcat), and enterprise Databases (Oracle 10g), in a Linux environment; Create PRPC-based interfaces to provide access to the database for both external systems and users, including Web Services. Verifies program logic by preparing test data performing unit tests, debugging and collaborating with testing team. Supports the implementation of the application into production using PRPC configuration management tools Builds/leads a delivery structure that operates within corporate guidelines for technology, security, and change management. Works with business line designees and lead systems development resources to improve processing efficiency through systems and business process improvements. Translates business requirements and functional specifications into functional PRPC workflows following best practices. Implements testing procedures for both business and systems personnel to ensure projects, enhancements, and support fixes meet deliverable goals. Participates in the overall systems testing. Applies corporate standard Systems Development Methodology and Project Management concepts appropriately to ensure systems and business goals are met or exceeded. Understands the business unit drivers and implements projects, enhancements and processes to support business goals. Ensures risk areas of the business are mitigated through systems and business processes. Completes web development utilizing PRPC tools, HTML, and JavaScript. Minimum qualifications: B.S. degree in IT related field, or equivalent work experience. Must be US Citizen or hold green card. No H1B's will be considered. Between 5-7 years experience primarily with intranet-based web applications utilizing OOAD, JAVA, J2EE, XML, and Web Services at an enterprise level. Major project experience using PegaSystems BPM Business Rules Engine products - (specifically with PegaRULES Process Commander v.5 and up) JAVA, J2EE, Design Patterns, OOA Object Oriented Analysis, JAVA Web Services (some exposure) Preferred Skills: Experience with: Oracle 10g or higher, PL/SQL Apache/Tomcat Background in Systems Development Methodology with experience in architecture and design of system interfaces.
