Location: New York, NY Start Date: ASAP End Date 10/31/2009 Bill rate: 45/hr Skills required: Able to work with minimal supervision from specifications to develop applications and solutions of a moderately technical/complex nature using J2EE technologies. Responsibilities encompass coding, testing, debugging and documenting developed solutions. . Proven Java Development Skills. . Experience with ORM tools like Hibernate. Toplink is a plus. . Experience with the Spring Framework. . Understanding of JPA and how to map object to database through annotations or orm.xml. . Experience using an MVC development framework with JSP, such as Struts. JSF is a plus. . Must be able to deal with html and javascript, however expert knowledge is not required. . Good SQL skills. . Ability to manage DDL scripts. Optional skills: . Experience with data conversion a plus. . Experience with a major portion of the JEE stack a plus. . Familiarity with Business Rule Engine . Familiarity with Lucene or Oracle Text . Insurance Industry knowledge a plus.
