We are looking for strong DB2 DBA consultant for one of our direct client, if you have any match, kindly revert ASAP to recrui...@sageci.com *Position: DB2 DBA Consultant* *Location: Albany, NY* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Responsibilities:* Under the direction of a supervising CLIENT’S CIO DBA: · Create / modify new and existing DB2 schemas, tables, indexes, etc. in support of any integration between the client’s legacy mainframe system (MEBEL) and the PeopleSoft solution in accordance with CLIENT’S’s existing systems standards; · Create and execute load jobs to load data into DB2 tables from production as well as image copies of loaded data; provide similar support for refreshing DB2 data in training regions; · Assist in the design, development and execution of DB2 triggers, and associated stored procedures; · Assist in the design, development and execution of any integration with PeopleSoft Oracle databases using “Oracle Transparent Gateway for DRDA” and “Oracle Database Provider for DRDA”; ·Assist in the maintenance and support of the current DB2 database that supports the client’s legacy mainframe system (MEBEL); ·Assist the application development Data Cleansing staff by properly executing database fixes for the data cleansing effort; ·Assist the Redesign project staff in efforts requiring DB2 knowledge and expertise; ·Ensure the supervising CLIENT’S CIO DBA is made aware of emerging issues dealing with any of the DB2 database environments associated with the client’s Project; ·Assist Redesign Project staff in development, implementation, and maintenance of detailed technical designs, and procedures for data modeling, capacity planning, performance analysis, tuning, monitoring, change control, and database management in accordance with CLIENT’S’s existing systems standards as well as any other applicable standards; ·Assist in proactive monitoring, diagnosing, and correcting database problems, i.e. data corruption, contention, incorrect indexes, CPU utilization, etc.; ·Assist in the development of backup, recovery and contingency/disaster planning for any Redesign-related DB2 components; ·Prepare person-day estimates for project planning purposes. *Minimum Qualifications:* ·Four (4) years of demonstrated experience of administering DB2 environments in a mainframe environment. *Preferred:* ·Demonstrated experience using “Oracle Transparent Gateway for DRDA” and “Oracle Database Provider for DRDA”; ·Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining DB2 triggers and called stored procedures; development using Data Studio is a plus; Demonstrated experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HCM, CRM and FIN. *Regards,* *Deepak Sharma* Technical Recruiter (US Staffing) *Sage Group Consulting Inc.* 455 East State Parkway, Suite#203, Schaumburg, IL 60173 Direct: 847-874-7721 Fax: 630-563-1159 Email: dksharma.s...@gmail.com Website: www.sageci.com [image: SageLogoC][image: saplogoone] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source Erp & Crm" group.
