*Position Description:* This position will be part of the IC Test Systems
Engineering Group.
The individual is responsible for developing software code using Python or
PERL scripting languages on a Linux platform to interface with other
software systems.
*Position Responsibilities:*
· Develop function specific software code from written
specifications and requirements
· Create and maintain software design specifications
· Support configuration management of developed software
· Coordinate software development efforts with both internal and
external partners
· Work under minimal supervision of a mentor/ team leader
*Basic Qualifications:*
· Fluent understanding of structured programming languages (PERL,
Python required)
· Work with SOAP Web Services
· Create scripted SQL database queries
· Experience with Linux (Red Hat), including Unix shell scripting.
· Experience with Object Oriented programming.
· Solid knowledge of IP networking and protocols.
· Experience with Unit Test
· Strong understanding of software configuration management
practices and principles
· Familiarity with MS Office – WORD, EXCEL, MS Project, Outlook
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to interface well with peers and technical contacts from
other disciplines
*Desired/Preferred Qualifications: *
· Write clean and well architected Python code
· Write code that scales well and is easily maintainable by other
developers
· Understanding of automated Manufacturing Systems and wafer probe
processes is a plus
· Experience developing software in a development environment and
releasing to a production environment. Physical Job Requirements: Work
involves extended hours sitting at a computer and writing software code.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required
to sit, walk, talk, hear and reach with hands and arms. The employee is
required to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or components.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include normal vision.
