Job Title: SQL Server DBA/Developer Location: Port Washington, NY Duration: 6-12 Months POSITION OVERVIEW: Team is looking for a dynamic individual that can develop, tune, populate and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases for e-commerce website applications. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 installation, configuration, tuning and administration. * Develop Stored Procedures and functions to assist with .NET development activities. * Analyzing query and stored procedures execution plans and tuning them. * Production support to resolve data issues in SQL databases. * Microsoft Business Intelligence Studio development to develop SSIS packages. * Participate in development of enterprise-class applications with Visual Studio 2008. * Position requires high level of independent judgment in decisions relating to database development. * Position requires excellent problem solving skills. * Frequent interaction with Product owners. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: * 5-8 years of designing, implementing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server Databases. * Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and Transact SQL. * Experience with Data Transformation Services (DTS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). * Expertise in the internal storage structure and retrieval of indexes and data and optimize them. * Data analysis, movement and conversion expertise. * 3-4 years of T-SQL programming with SQL Server. * Experience or good understanding of agile project methodologies. * Ability to undertake a wide variety of tasks. * Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. * Strong work ethic, including team and goal orientation. * Self motivated and positive attitude.
