The Senior Product Analyst has the responsibility of understanding and
documenting
business requirements from multiple internal/external stakeholders and to
successfully
transform them into technical functional requirements in order to build
effective
software solutions. The products/systems consist of custom web-based
applications
and related web services, data interfaces and business intelligence data
integration
systems used to operate the businesses of life science clients at
KnowledgePoint360.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The applications/products typically comprise several thousand users, including
client sales representatives, health care professionals, client product and
marketing team members, compliance, legal and internal staff/management.
The Senior Product Analyst will be expected to be fully engaged as the lead
Subject Matter Expert (SME) and produce consistent, high-quality deliverables,
with limited supervision for all products within the company domain.
The individual will understand client's (internal and external) overall
business
and technical solution needs and translate those needs into documented business
requirements, then into functional requirements using multiple, required
methods
of documentation - context diagrams, process flows, use cases, business
requirements,
user stories, functional requirements, mapping documents, etc..Job
Responsibilities:
* Involved in the early stages of projects as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to
understand and lead the documentation of initiative scope, business
requirements
and functional requirements
* Manage priorities across multiple projects and products in different
lifecycle
phases in a fast-paced environment
* Lead the analysis and research and be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for
complex technical issues and work with management on escalation management,
software development and product management teams
* As the SME, facilitate requirements elicitation meetings and work with the
business stakeholders to ensure that all of the business needs are being met
* Transform business requirements and user stories into functional requirements
using use cases, functional specs, diagrams and other related documentation
as input for the design and development staff
* Translate business conversations into technology needs and vice versa
* Own, communicate and present functional requirements to the off-shore
development
and QA teams
* Partner with design, development and QA peers to ensure
Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science or equivalent
experience
* At least 7-10 years of Business/Technical Analysis experience
* Experience working with cross-functional teams that translate internal and
external business needs into functional requirements and ultimately deliverable
software products
* Experience working with multiple levels of business users
* Ability to fully grasp complex system architectures, including multiple
inter-related
databases and intricate business rule logic
* Experience with visual prototyping techniques to drive user feedback
* Experience in performing thorough gap analysis between multiple processes,
systems and products
* Strong analytical and requirements documentation skills
* Strong negotiation and leadership skills
* Strong ability to interact with multiple client contacts
* Experience in consistently meeting project deliverable deadlines
* Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications, including strong
presentation skills
* Proactive and eager to learn and contribute to new and emerging technologies,
processes, and products
* Comfortable working independently as well as on a team
* Experience in working for a commercial software company
* Experience in project management methodologies
* Experience with six sigma a plus
* Experience in operational role desirable
* Understanding of healthcare or pharmaceutical industry desirable
