Role : Build/Release Engineer Location: West Chester, PA 19380 Duration :Long term Build/Release Engineer This group is responsible for a number of Java-based web services that are used across many different client's teams, and this usage is only going to expand. The group has already implemented build and deployment automation to a degree, but this person will be involved in expanding this to a larger number of servers and providing guidance on best practices for continued use of the tools involved. This individual will be helping them automate their tools. Skills/Experience Required: • Experience as a build engineer, releasing and supporting java applications in a Unix/Linux shop. • Java/J2EE. • Continuous Integration Tools (Jenkins, Babmoo, AnthillPro, SVN, GIT, etc.). • From a soft skills perspective, candidate needs to walk the line of providing best practices in a diplomatic fashion. Pluses: • Puppet, Chef. • Tomcat, JBoss, Weblogic. • Scripting experience (Shell, Perl, Python). • Experience troubleshooting network issues. • Database experience.
