Responsibilities The Revenue Management Department is a fast paced forward thinking team where our goal is to develop and maintain applications, analytics and reports to assist revenue management business area in their short term and long term fleet planning, pricing optimization, and demand forecasting, etc. The reporting team of the department works directly with business sponsors to understand, analyze, and satisfy their needs. Using business knowledge, technical expertise and powerful BI tools, the team provides a variety of data and reporting solutions. Initiatives range from ad hoc reports to recurring reports to persistent Self-service reporting and analysis solutions. The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing prototypes, designing and developing production self-service reports and reporting solutions on multiple platforms. This position interprets end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed reporting and analytical applications. The Senior Software Engineer also assists with continuous improvement of individual reports or reporting solutions, analysis and review of software requirements to determine feasibility of a design within time and cost constraints. Ability to work in a cross-platform computing environment using the following technologies: UNIX and .net over relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server) . Experienced in SQL performance tuning . Ability to communicate effectively with other team members within Information Delivery and Corporate users when applicable . Willingness to accept responsibility and take ownership for projects . Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, strong work ethic, and willingness to put forth extra effort when necessary without being asked . Highly organized and detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment .
