Location:Boston, Massachusetts OR Milwaukee, Wi, United States
Duration : 6 months+
Description:
SQA test Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Lead the entire testing lifecycle for projects within a Dental Insurance
company
Ø Lead identification of improvement initiatives, champion and effect change
Ø Work closely with business stakeholders to estimate and plan testing
schedules,
workload and resource capacity required for testing projects
Ø Develop software testing project deliverables, including overall Test
Strategy,
detailed Test Plan/Approach, and Project Test Summary, including suggestions
for process improvement where appropriate
Ø Work closely and communicate with the client BA'S/Project Managers, Software
and Technical Architects, DBAs, and Developers on the detailed technical design
and support of technical solutions to meet functional, performance, and quality
objectives
Ø Plan workload and resource capacity for multiple, concurrent testing
projects
Ø Apply risk based testing to testing projects, and report risk assessment
back to client stakeholders
Ø Collect, filter, and transfer process and technical knowledge from the
client
to members of a remote team across multiple time zones
Ø Verify and validate the functional and non-functional requirements of a
claims system that is comprised of numerous applications, technologies, and
interfaces
Ø Perform preliminary business analysis of functional requirements to identify
information, procedures and decision flows
Ø Develop Test Requirements and perform gap analysis between Technical Design
Specifications and Business Requirements
Ø Documents to identify areas of risk
Ø Define, collect, analyze, and report on testing metrics
Ø Maintain and communicate a solid understanding of software testing best
practices, methodologies and terminology
Ø Liaison with the client for approvals of testing deliverables
Ø Lead, train, mentor and coach Junior / Intermediate members of the Test
Team
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Ø Minimum 5 years in Quality Control
Ø Minimum 2 years Test Manager/Lead Experience
Ø Minimum 7 years working in Business/IT Sector
Ø HP Quality Center (or equivalent test management application/system)
Ø SOA experience
Ø Agile experience
Ø Experience testing web services and developing technical testing approach
for web services
Ø Experience with testing enterprise IT solutions (i.e. multiple integrated
systems)
Ø Experience in server side testing and development of strategies thereof
(i.e. message flows, databases, ETL transformations)
Ø Abilty to learn complex integrated systems and develop associated technical
testing approach
