*Greenplum\Postgres SQL Admin* *Location : San Roman, CA Igate patni* *Any visa* *About the position and responsibilities: * Day to day administration of Greenplum & PostgreSQL databases - Collaborate with development, architecture, and release teams, providing architectural design recommendations, driving standards for effective GreenPlum & PostgreSQL transition to production operations. - Hadoop distribution experience, such as Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR, etc. - In depth knowledge of the GreenPlum & PostgreSQL architecture - Drive end to end availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning for GreenPlum, using different tools - Implement automated methods and industry best practices for consistent installation and configuration of GreenPlum for production and non-production environments - Conduct technical reviews and Walkthroughs of system design documentation with development and design team members. - Manage backup and recovery functions for a Greenplum data warehouse environment - Proactively monitor and setup alerting mechanism for both database and supporting hardware to ensure system health and maximum availability - Create users, establish database security, create resource queue, performance tuning in terms of query execution etc. - Plan and coordinate system upgrades. - Perform capacity monitoring and short and long-term capacity planning in collaboration with development resources, system administrators and system architects - Manage Disaster Recovery environment - Identify and resolve incidents and address to user problems/concerns - Generate reports of all processes and jobs currently running on Greenplum with details like users, start and end time, CPU Usage and time, Memory usage, IO Time, locking etc. *Bigdata Architect* *Chicago IL* *Igate Patni * *(GC/USC)* *Job Description* 1. At least 2-3 years of relevant experience 2. Strong Java programming, shell scripting, Python, and SQL 3. 2 years of focused work in Hadoop/HDFS/Map Reduce/Spark 4. Experience working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data sets 5. Proficient in HiveQL, Pig Latin 6. Proven experience with Sqoop, Oozie, Flume, Storm, Kafka 7. Experience with Lambda Architecture 8. Experience with open source NOSQL technologies such as HBase 9. Understanding of API’s and hadoop integration points from application perspective 10. Experience with data ingest, store, and view generation 11. Deep Knowledge of SQL, RDBMS Platforms as they relate to Hadoop (Import, Export, Query, etc…) 12. Experience or advanced education in Mathematics or Statistics a plus 13. Experience of Hortonworks HDP required 14.
