Hi Esther...
I was wondering if you found out to what extent we could earmark
some donations sent in via the Usenix page for OpenAFS. I am not
expecting some absurdly-strict earmarking, where every penny must
accounted for and go exactly where I want it to go. But I *would*

Hi!
I'm kinda frustrated.

Hi!
Yeah, its me again, I'm kinda active now and try to let our cell work flawless
and fast, so sorry for my "lot of" posts here.
I'm trying to migrate an old database server from redhat AFS 1.2.13 to debian
1.3.79, and I saw, no kaserv in the 1.3.79 pa

You can run both services in parallel, but users who change their password
If you're running a business you could fund people/projects directly. It is
a regular business expense. You may have to issue a 1099 at year end.
You could also donate directly to one of the universities but there may be a

With the risk of posting a shameless plug, I'd like to mention that Sine
Nomine Associates provides the option to fund development aside from the
commercial support they offer. So, if there are specific projects you'd
like to see done, and you'd be willing to fund them, SNA would for sure

In the bios verify that the memory is running at spec.
Look at swapping/paging stats. If your're memory bound and paging the swap
partition should be on a separate drive (Although a cpu load of 5 indicates
you're cpu bound).

To be totally honest, I dropped the ball here. I'm very sorry. On
the other hand, I should have seen the answer to this when you first
asked it.
Usenix is, very graciously, simply collecting the money for OpenAFS
because they are a 501c3 and OpenAFS is not, at this time.
Usenix will take the m

Hi!
I try to setup a new database server (the third) for our cell on 1.3.79
AFS and debian sarge.
I can setup openafs to obtain tokens, get data, browse AFS tree and I
even managed to setup a fileserver on that machine.
Now I tried to setup a vlserver a

I changed some small things (arrange of entrys in CellServDB), and
restarted on all server machines all services twice, now it works.
Thx again for your patience.
