Ok...
what about cross realm authentication ?
http://www-ti.informatik.uni-tuebingen.de/deutsch/system/dokumentation/afs/afs-tutorial/16.1-AFS_Cross_realm_authentication.html
Since I use LDAP I can "tell" what user volume in what cell to use. I can
authenticate in one cell and "assign" a volume

Then you're not trying very hard. I have all of the cells mounted in
mine;-)
Either use dynroot and list all the cells in CellServDB, or properly
populate (and then release)

so what you want is simply mount the root.cell volume of the one cell

Hello all,
I setup a new OpenAFS server and was adding a user using ussbulk.
I made a mistake in the script, some things got created, others didn't.
How can I make what was created "undone"
Here's what happened:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] classlists]# uss bulk -file
../classlists/ussbulk_cowboy_add.ad
There's a previous thread discussing current status of aklog, etc. and how
to compile.

Hi Roger,
I'll ask Laura if she can send them all to you. Last what I heard from her is
that she wrote a patch (or 2 ?) that "takes care" of everything so far.
That way I know that you get the latest (and complete) version of it.
I used 3 patches, plus made some "manual" changes

Now that we know why this fails, a bad mount point most likely created
by an admin and not a user, it is a very unlikely problem.
The fact that either of these patches further hides a bad mount point
in that ls -l shows nothing and that it looks like a Solaris bug, which
may well show up with NFS
I finally have a few days to migrate our cell from AFS-KRB to Kerb5.
We have a few hundred users and I'd like to migrate the cell without
too much disruption. Looking at the AFS wiki, I find
- dead links to Ken Hornstein's AFS-KRB 5 migration kit
(the FTP server doesn't exist any more?)

Can you send me these patches? Thanks. And if you don't mind that I
post them in the OpenSSI contrib area so that other users have a
chance to get it working.
