Well, I found out where the road leads...
Wound up using pam_krb5 only for kerberos. It will not work with a GSSAPI
passed TGT to just get a PAG. There's also an issue discussed previously
on this list about needing to turn off challenge-response in openafs to
make this work. Chaining afte
hello all,
Still trying to get OpnAFS to work on OpenSSI.
I seem to be able to compile OpenAFS-1.2.13 (with a bunch of warnings)
and build the rpms so I can install the client.
When I use insmode to load the libafs module I get:
insmod libafs-2.4.22-1.2199.nptl_ssi_9smp-i386.mp.o

Nevermind about #2. Naturally, as soon as I make a post it fixes itself
and openssh is setting that correctly.
I believe this confirms that pam_krb5afs ignores KRBCCNAME. Anyone got a
patch to make it use the TGT that SSH forwarded to get a ticket for the
cell and a pag?

Here are two compatibility issues with the AFS 1.4.0003 client on MS
Windows 2000. Probably both of these are beyond OpenAFS's control.
However I thought I would air them in case there are workarounds. Both
of them involve the new [EMAIL PROTECTED] syntax for accessing AFS.
(A) A Unix vs Windows
I'm trying to get TGT passing with the gssapi-with-mic auth method of
openssh to work with pam_krb5afs to get a token.
1. Does this even work in principle, or does the pam_sm_open_session in
pam_krb5afs rely on a stash created in the auth method of pam_krb5afs? I
had hoped that the session
If you're going to use NetWorkerAFS in a production

It is a statement that it is impossible for me or anyone else
to predict when new releases of OpenAFS will be available. Version 1.4
still has yet to be released. I bet that 1.4 would be released much
sooner if we dropped support for operating systems with unstable kernel
ABIs.
Even assuming t
Is this a statement that the enhanced encryption work, using Kerberos V,
is completed in some soon-to-be-released form, Jeff?
Thanks,

I'm not sure what your issue is but if you wish me to continue working

Sounds good :-) . Which OpenAFS-version did you use?
Is 1.4rc1 sufficient?

Hi,
My OpenAFS installation is working with the principal
"afs/@" having a K5 keytype as 'des-cbc-crc'. But I am
not able to get it to work with triple-des. Which are the encryption
types supported by the AFS server ? Is there some way I can use
triple-des or AES instead of plain des ?
Regar
it just works.
compile the kernel module with ARCH=xen
and it works .

Hi!
It's me again...
I've got a debian 64bit machine at home, kernel 2.6.12 and OpenAFS 1.4RC1.
I installed OpenAFS and kerberos fresh today, set my local realm and
