1.4.8 is the soon-to-be-latest-and-greatest... in the Maintenance
branch. It's recommended that Windows users use the Features branch,
1.5. It's like Linux used to do with 2.4 & 2.5 -- 2.4 was the more

Not really. The 1.5.5000.0 (1.5.50) builds are several
months old and many many bugs have already been fixed
in them. Especially without an afsd.dmp file to provide
a stack trace it would not be worth my time to investigate
the cause of this issue.

after applying a simple bugfix (see bug #119443, this should also be
relevant to HPUX and DUX) it is possible to load the nonfs kernelmodule
on OpenSolaris Systems. Server and client daemons can be started and
everything seems to work OK sofar. I tested this with OpenSolaris build

terminal and issue aklog to obtain an AFS token.
