I'm trying to find out if it's possible to add partitions without restarting
afs fileserver. Is it? And how can I do it? Or is a simple restart not
considered to be downtime?

Yes, that is of course another possibility because as far as I know
the size of the vicepx file system is not stored anywhere in AFS, you
make the underlying file system bigger, you have more space on

There is another way; have a number of unused /vicepx available and have
an AlwaysAttach
in them. When you want to add more disk you just mount it on one of the
