That would match with my experience on previous releases on the 1.5.x
series with KfW on 32-bit Win7. Always had tickets in the credential
cache on 32-bit, but never on 64-bit. I'm poking the 32-bit install
of 1.7.3/1.5.1 to add the Kerb4 .dlls back in and fix a couple other
GPO-related issues to

TCDP makes extensive use of symlinks and byte-range file locking. I doubt it
would work well in AFS.

On the Programs and Services tab, Services, Settings..., Apply to this service:
OpenAFS Client Service.
Then it doesn't work.
Changing it (back) to Apply to all programs and services. Then it works again.
Can of course be added with the netsh command as well.
I'm using this workaround now for sc

What do you mean by "add the OpenAFS Client Service to the rule"?

/afs/andrew.cmu.edu/usr/shadow/patch1
fixes the issue
/afs/andrew.cmu.edu/usr/shadow/patch2
fixes some warnings due to unused variables that the first patch didn't remove
A 1.6.1 release candidate containing these should be available within
the next 24 hours.

Hi!
Just one question: does someone use IBM Tivoli Continous Data Protection
Software and save that backup onto OpenAFS 1.7.x \\AFS\... ?
Thank you.

I redid the test today and the windows firewall blocks the UDP 7001 packets.
Adding a new rule with:
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="AFS CacheManager Callback (UDP)"
dir=in action=allow enable=yes program="C:\Program
Files\OpenAFS\Client\Program\afsd_service.exe"
opens up and the tes
