I now tested the 1.6.6pre1 from the ppa repository, but couldn't see any
obvious improvements on the issues my configuration has. But you did help
me by suggesting to use "strace" to find out the possible causes.

fs discon mode on read only must work .
I test discon mode using R/W volume , do you think it works better
with RO volume ?

OK, that is unfortunate. Additionally, ff profile sharing between two or
more simultaneous sessions didn't work the last time I tried it. Both are
very old issues, so they feel like design decisions against network use.
