I can confirm that the Kindle cannot read ePub, but .mobi files work just
fine. the Adobe Editions ePub files tend to be DRM'd, although also don't
require DRM to be used.
If we're talking about kindle-specific options, .mobi is probably best. If
we're looking for an "ereader format" that'll span

My understanding is that the choice to use UDP was something that was
inherited from before OpenAFS (that is, prior to the code being dropped by
IBM).
If you look at Derrick's reply to the email you linked, he says there was a
branch in CVS. I believe there is still a "plan" to make the switch to
Part of the issue with Android and WebOS is that neither is designed to be a
"file manager" type OS. They're both designed around the concept that the
application will know where the files it needs are.
What this means is that neither has an out of the box file manager as part
of the OS. I know an

I think Daniel is right, in that it's either strenuously recommended against
using the NFS translator, or it's completely non-function
As far as I know, this is a fairly new feature. As for stability, I'm not
sure how you define 'stable' but seeing as how it's pretty new, I'm not sure
anyone is considering it stable. The command is 'fs discon', and I'm not
sure on the level of documentation available, but I think there is some.

I know I, at least, would be willing to answer any and all questions you
might have about my specific project. I could probably try and answer

I really really enjoyed my experience this summer, working on kAFS. Going
in, I was pretty sure my skills weren't where they should be for this
project, but I thought I would be able to learn. I learned an enormous
amount, b
