How is Debian, Ubuntu , Slackware , Mandriva in this regard? i am using debian sarge with openafs 1.4.2 (build from source) and kernel 2.6.18.2. works well... update (to kernel or openafs client) + rebuild is quite simple. also, i have created a simple custom script to load the correct
