Hi everybody,

We have merged the project "Build Validations and Module Scripts" to the
pi development branch, and this new capability will be ready to use in
Openbravo 2.50 MP15. Essentially, this project allows developers to create:

    * Build Validations: these are tasks which are executed at the
beginning of the build process, and check if the system complies with
some specific rule, stopping the build if it's not the case
    * Module Scripts: these are tasks which are executed in the middle
of the update.database process, and allow developers to modify the state
of the database, or other parts of the system, for example to make it
comply with some specific rule (for example, you can use one to fill a
database column with some default data, or fix customer data so that it
complies with a new database constraint).

You can read more about this project here:

http://wiki.openbravo.com/wiki/Projects/BuildValidationsAndModuleScripts

and if you want to learn how to develop validations or scripts, you can
read this document in our developers guide:

http://wiki.openbravo.com/wiki/ERP/2.50/Developers_Guide/How_to_create_build_validations_and_module_scripts

If you have any questions about the project, or you have any issues when
developing new build validations or module scripts, you can ask them in
this thread in our forums:

Hope this project is useful for your developments. Regards,

Antonio.
