I also wish I had that but thankfully using snapshots goes a long way
... Thanks a lot for your suggestion, I will try that when it's time for
the replacement.

This is documented somewhere on the wiki, with links to the tools too!
Please ensure that you validate the checksum of the image after a
download. In case there are errors, you can always use rsync and
update the local image file.
Best of luck! :)

That was an interesting link. I wonder if these steps really are
necessary. It sure doesn't hurt to make a backup copy of
/etc/path_to_inst but creating an empty reconfigure file at the root
seems to be enough.
To describe the instructions in the bug-report in words:
(preparatory steps)
1.
I'm not sure why all these steps would be necessary as they should be taken
care of automatically when forcing a reconfigure in first place.
Thanks for your post!
First there is no reason to repeat the steps. And no reconfigure does not
work.In fact, the system will not be able to boot.
I have seen this posted before but without a resolution.
I'm trying to do an image-update from oi-148 to 151a. Here's the
terminal output:
weknox@antonio-gramsci:~# pkg image-update -f

Anyone else seeing the same thing?
