Jon, any chance of getting this fixed before it bites more people?

Include the domain name. Domain\user instead of just user. Domain if not
using AD integration is just the server's hostname.
I've been using the XBMC alpha on my Kindle Fire running a JB ROM and I
haven't had any issues with my SMB connections.

File Explorer, AndSMB, ASTRO, cifsmanager can access the smb shares.
I m getting a login error

I sent this question in before that my ldapclient gets disabled and
nsswitch.conf file reverted back to files only after a reboot. Someone on the
list said I need to get nwam setup correctly. I do not have graphic interface
installed on the server, could someone tell me how to do this via comm

John,
Zones are a great solution to the model you're proposing. You can get
tremendous execution and privilege isolation using zones - they are lightweight
and very high-performance.
In addition, much work has been done lately on KVM - which would be the way to

John,
There are a few ways to run jailed VMs in OpenIndiana. I would look to
see if zones meets your needs as it is a very lightweight way to have
jailed Virtual Machines. As long as you don't care that you're running
OpenIndiana machines, this is very easy to set up and use. There are

Hi Folks
I'm very much a newbie to OpenIndiana and would like to ask about
Virtualisation.
My server is at the moment running only as a file server but the plan is to
virtualise a web server and an FTP server separately in their own zones.
Is this feasible, and is there any point? My t
This was all with nwam. I was sick of fighting that battle too so I
just gave up.
It appears to be working now after the refresh when ipfilter was disabled.

LibreOffice won't support Solaris until it is painless for them to do
so ... feel free to get a copy and try to compile it yourself.
I got close recently to compiling it, and I will try again when I have
a little time to pull in an updated Git and get around any new issues
that appear.

Hello,
earlier this year there were rumors indicating that a current OpenOffice build
for Solaris was underway.
But now (a few months later) there is still no indication of Solaris support -
neither on the OpenOffice nor the LibreOffice download pages :-(
To an unbiased observer, it seems that
