Been using it on as a datastore for both my vmware and hyper-v clusters. No
complaints, great performance and reliability. I'm using iSCSI.

Hello all,
Has anyone had luck with the SYBA SY-PEX40008?

I read a blog post on backblaze on their storage pods and this was the sata

Google eon zfs. They are a usb illumos flavor. The community seems as friendly

FreeBSD is okay as well. I honestly have more experience with FreeBSD/ Linux
but prefer BSD to Linux. To be frank when it comes to ZFS I think the setup and
performance on OI is better than FreeBSD, but
Well to take advantage of php-fpm it appears I need 5.3 and php 5.2 is in
the repos listed.
I tried to build it from source but the autoconf pang is to "new".
*sigh*

I'm on the newest version of OI, is there another repository or something

Thanks again for your help.

I am looking for a way to install nginx and php-fpm with php suhosin and php
mysql openindiana and not having any luck.
Should I try to look for some tutuorials on illumos or some other distro?
Packages would be nice but I'll compile from source is required altough I'd
rather not. My previous

I have perused the lists and saw this might be support with OpenSolaris. It's
not listed on the HCL on the Openindiana wiki but like I said, some OpenSolaris
threads talk about this controller being supported:

After searching for my chipset and illumos I found a bug report filed. I had to
disable USB in the bios and now the CD boots. Apparently a patch has been
released for Illumos not sure if it has made it Openindiana yet.
So if you have this chipset disable USB.

Hello all.
I'm pretty new to OpenIndiana and Solaris based systems in general.
I've recently dumped FreeBSD ZFS for OpenIndiana and set up a server with a ZFS
mirror presenting iSCSI luns to an esxi host. Nothing against FreeBSD but I
wanted to try OpenIndiana.
Connectivity is fine and it seem
