Hi Michelle,
I had a similar issue and used the text installer to install
OpenIndiana. It worked installing it on Virtualbox but not on bare
hardware (Samsung NC10).

Maybe the 2G header file might help? I had a similar issue and used that
instead. Can't recall the details though.
