I want a floating IP that can switch between two servers for HA. Since
keepalived is only for linux, is there anyother alternative in OI ?

How about the vrrp-service? Unfortunately there is no manual page
for it, but there are a few documents from old OpenSolaris time

The VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) and ILB (integrated load
balancer) features should be able t
be advised that i have only been able to get vrrp to work in global zones.
i found references to people thinking it could work in zones with the right
incantation but alas i couldnt find it. perhaps my jarred dragon breath was to
dated.
otherwise vrrp more or less works as expected.
