I've just updated in place to 151a8, and tried to setup a VNC session.
It looks like xterm works, but nothing else. I don't really know enough
about the underpinnings to know where to start looking.
In 151a7, I got a full gnome desktop...

check for the jds checks

I did manage to figure this out. Turns out that the update to 151a8 uninstalls
a package of gnome scripts. I just edited ~/.vnc/xstartup to call gnome-session
instead of twm as a fix.
