I think the issue here is Jonathan and John are trying to see it from
the ordinary user's perspective, whereas Andreas and Tim are coming at
it primarily from a developer/designer perspective. As developers we
tend to look for "the nicest solution" within our very logical

It is not a bug in vlc.py. It's a bug in openlp. Openlp should handle
the OSError exception if the vlc.py fails to detect the presence of
installed VLC on Mac.
I think it was also reported for other OSes. If it was fixed for other
OSes then it could be probably fixed for Mac too.

I agree with Jonathan. It would be a real eye opener if somebody thought
they were clearing the verses below with the delete button only to find
they were deleting the whole bible. I think it should be in Configure
--> Bibles.

Bible delete button is too accessible

I disagree. A song you can type in again. A Bible might be so easy to
replace. Can it be set to opinion? (I'm not near a computer atm)

When previewing a media item, as well as sending a media item live, the
live view takes over the control of progress bar of the preview view.
This can be seen by:
Send a media item to preview. Press play on the preview controller.
Send the item live and press play/pause/stop
