Title:
Translucent display has broken phonon video
Well it is something that is fixable (by recreating the maindisplay)
just requires someone to be brave enough to do it.
The Qt bugs have probably moved to a Digia site now Nokia has offloaded
it.

Link to QT bug report is no longer valid.
Due to it's age and the fact that it is in QT would suggest we make wontfix.

Downgrading to Low.
First of all no one has complained about the corner case when it doesn't work.
Secondly I don't think it is an easy fix, and certainly unlikely to happen
anytime soon.

Translucent display has broken phonon video
Status in OpenLP - Worship Presentation So
Downgrading this from Critical to High as there are now workarounds and it is
fixed for many people.
(Either use VLC or don't use transparent themes which weren't available anyway
when Phonon last worked)
** Changed in: openlp
Importance: Critical => High
** Description changed:
I thought
It is now fixed when no transparent theme has been used that session
(r1892).
Still an issue for transparent themes, it will probably require the
maindisplay to be recreated prior to video display.

Bug description
I can get phonon to open and play .mov and .flv (flash) video files on
linux using 1.9.8.
I can still open them using lp:~j-corwin/openlp/transparent but when
clicking the play button, the display screen just flickers briefly, and
then all I get is audio.

I seem unable to get phonon to even open a video file on Linux, let
alone play it.
Therefore if there is someone who has had phonon working before and can
give lp:~j-corwin/openlp/transparent a try and see if this plays videos
under the phonon controller, please could you let me know how successfu
