openmeetings.log should give you an error message.
In the latest Builds there is a new param during installation.
Enable / disable TLS during Mail-Server authentification.
I guess GMail requires that to enable.

isnt this the same issue where you are trying to run openmeetings on
apache server ?
have you changed it ?
secondly it is best if you would post your server configuration(moodle
& openmeetings) as it clears a lot of things...
